This vibrant festival serves as a platform for MMS students to showcase their diverse skills and foster a spirit of unity and enthusiasm. The Fest provided a holistic experience, blending fun, learning, and social responsibility. It fostered a sense of community, allowing students to bond, collaborate, and celebrate their collective achievements. The event also offered a break from academic routines, giving students a chance to unwind and rejuvenate.
Department of Lifelong Learning Extension(DLLE)
Extension activities conducted in association with the University of Mumbai under the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE) are crucial for holistic student development. These activities bridge academic learning with community engagement, fostering social responsibility and practical skills. Students gain real-world experience, enhance their problem-solving abilities, and contribute positively to society. Students opted for the three projects in a group, namely Environment Education Program, Career Program and Skill Development Program.
BOOK REVIEW
Book review activities are invaluable for developing critical thinking and analytical skills. They encourage students to engage deeply with business literature, enhancing their understanding of key concepts and theories. By articulating their insights and critiques, students improve their communication skills. This activity also fosters a habit of continuous learning, essential for future business leaders. Our students at the department have successfully reviewed and presented their learning on selected books.
ADD ON COURSES
30-Hours Add-On Course for MMS Students on each of the following topics: Excel, Communication Skills, and Campus Recruitment Training. To enhance the employability and professional skills of our MMS students, a comprehensive 30-hour add-on course was conducted, focusing on Excel proficiency, communication skills, and campus recruitment training. This add-on course significantly improved students data handling, communication, and recruitment skills, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements. The practical approach ensured students could apply what they learned in realistic scenarios. By focusing on Excel, communication skills, and campus recruitment preparation, this course has equipped MMS students with essential tools for their professional careers, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the job market.

Vidyavardhini’s
College of Engineering and Technology (VCET) students from the Master of Management Studies
(MMS) Department have organized a Power BI Training Program aimed at enhancing participants'
skills in data visualization, business intelligence, and interactive reporting. The program
equips participants
with essential Power BI capabilities that are widely used in professional and corporate
environments.
Objectives:
- To familiarize participants with the Power BI environment, dashboards, and essential tools.
- To teach participants different techniques for data import, cleaning, and transformation using Power Query.
- To explore DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), custom visuals, and interactive dashboards.

As part of our commitment to providing practical insights and real-world knowledge, a series of industry expert sessions were organized for MMS students, covering key subjects such as Financial Management, Human Resources (HR), and Business Research Methods. The industry expert sessions provided MMS students with valuable exposure to current industry practices and trends. By learning directly from seasoned professionals, students could relate theoretical knowledge to practical applications, thereby enriching their academic experience and preparing them for successful careers. NSIM Kona Kona Shiksha Training
On January 3, 2025, the Department of Management Studies, in collaboration with NISM and SEBI, organized a Financial Education Program for MMS students at Vidyavardhini’s College. Led by expert speaker Mr. Deepak Vakharia, the session focused on key topics like saving, budgeting, investing, and financial discipline. Through real-life examples and an engaging intra-day trading simulation, students learned about the risks and opportunities in capital markets. The session also highlighted career prospects in the financial sector and emphasized the importance of financial planning for long-term goals. Participants who completed the session received NISM and SEBI certifications, boosting their academic and professional credentials.
Oscillations Prize Distribution
Vidyavardhini’s College of Engineering and Technology organized VNPS & Oscillations 2025 on April 4–5, providing a national platform for students to present innovative research across engineering and management disciplines. The MMS department’s Management Track saw 11 students showcase projects on topics ranging from digital marketing and AI in education to investment trends and microfinance. Presentations were judged by academic experts and evaluated for originality, relevance, and practical application. The event fostered analytical thinking, professional communication, and leadership among participants. Overall, it encouraged academic excellence and highlighted emerging trends in business and management.

IDEATHON 1.0
The MMS Department at Vidyavardhini College of Engineering and Technology organized Ideathon 1.0 on 22nd October 2024, with participation from 14 colleges across Mumbai and Palghar. The event provided a platform for students to present innovative, real-world solutions, fostering creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Esteemed judges—Mr. Francis Tuscano (Managing Director, Thermovision Technologies Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Vinay Patel (Assistant Professor–Mechanical, VCET), and Dr. Ashish Chaudhari (Research Dean, VCET)—evaluated the ideas.
